There is a new “Timed Price” mode, a new “Pool Table” definition, new pool table
icons, new “Timed Pricing Stop” and “Timed Pricing Restart” check options, new
“Day Timed Pricing Records” and new “Timed Pricing Schedule”.
Auto Zoning and Streets for Delivery Now new delivery customers are automatically assigned to the
correct delivery zone. By inputting the streets with block ranges (example 3700
to 4999 Oak Street might be assigned to Zone 1 while 5000 to 5799 Oak Street
might be assigned to Zone 2) Digital Dining recognizes the address and zone for
new customers.
Customers outside the delivery zone are flagged.
There is also an “Auto-Street” enhancement. When entering the address for a new
customer simply enter the number and one or two letters of the street name. A
button for all streets beginning with the letter(s) will appear in the Selection
Panel. By selecting the correct button the process is shortened and the same
street doesn’t end up in the database several different ways.
New Token for Summary Modifers Summarize modifiers on prep tickets along with the main item

General Reports and Inventory General Reports includes new Data Sources for Inventory Types,
Inventory Purchases, and Inventory Types and Charges. Now when invoices are
entered in Digital Dining a payable can be created in the restaurant’s
accounting software when General Reports are used as the interface. Inventory The handheld terminal can now be used to take inventory.
Stock-on-hand worksheets now print with real-time inventory calculations. This
now makes it possible to check bar inventory by bartender shift and for
quick-service restaurants to take inventory multiple times per day.
Charges or miscellaneous items can now be added to incoming invoices. For
example an invoice might contain a few key items that are individually tracked
in inventory as well as other items not tracked individually. The amount for
those miscellaneous items can be allocated to the correct inventory type such as
produce, baked items, etc.
The procedure for Batch Recipes has changed. It now has it’s own window. Batches
can be used to calculate both purchased and produced items. One example is for
chicken for quick-service restaurants. One chicken (head) is purchased which
produces two legs, two thighs, two wings, and two breasts or eight pieces.
Cost has been added to the Inventory Recipes Report and the Menu Item Recipes
Report Screen Resolution Screen resolutions of 1024x768 and higher are supported. All POS
terminals do not have to have the same resolution New Discount Flexibility “Once per Qualified Menu Item” has been added to the Selection
List in the Discount Definition Maintenance window. If 2 or more qualified items
are in the order the discount can apply to each.
Menu items can now be included or excluded from discounts by specific POS
windows. For example a discount might apply only to Seafood Entrees (POS Window)
rather than to all Entrees (Sales Type)
A Qualification Window is now included in the Menu Item tab of the Discount
Definition Maintenance window. Qualification can require ordering at least one
item from the list or require ordering all. For example a customer might only
receive a discount by ordering both Prime Rib with a specific bottle of wine.
Credit Card Security and Layouts Digital Dining only displays the last four digits of credit card
numbers in all back office reports and layouts. With the increased emphasis on
credit card security this is an important feature.
There are now layouts for Approved and Declined Credit Cards.
Wait List in Table Management Module Based on the customer’s requested preferences Digital Dining will
calculate the estimated wait using an algorithm based on current activity in the
restaurant. Modifying the preferences will re-calculate the estimated wait.
A host alarm will activate when a customer has not been seated within the
original estimated time.
When a table becomes available Digital Dining will suggest which customer from
the wait list be seated. The suggestion can be overridden.
There is now a fourth color to indicate table status on the graphical table
layout. Open tables not available are white.
The information displayed below the table icons can be rotated to show customer
name, server name, estimated completion time, etc.
The Free Table button on the Host terminal has been changed to Change Table. It
brings up the Edit Floor Plan screen for the current room. It has command
buttons for the following.
Free Table – no change
Join Table – no change
Move Table – allows the location of the table to be moved on the screen.
Block Table – removes the table from seating suggestions and wait list
calculations. It can still be used for seating.

another table quickly and easily. Graphical Table Access There is a new register option Select Register Floor Plan. This

handheld terminals. UPC There is a check option to allow manual entry of UPC numbers.
